Come to the platica with Arjun Makhijani, Genevieve Rodriguez, and myself on Friday, December 4th! Arjun is a nuclear physicist and public intellectual who has done a lot of great work on the cost and health impacts of nuclear energy broadly and the STP in particular, and Genevieve and I will be working as community moderators to engage him in critical questions about how to bring about climate justice in San Antonio. This would be a great event for anyone new to discussions around the STP and nuclear energy, so bring friends, neighbors, and family. The platica will be held at Esperanza (922 San Pedro Ave) and will start at 7pm.

Saturday, December 5th, we will be holding a Youth Leadership Training around food and climate justice here at the SWU offices (1414 E. Commerce). The training itself will start at 10am and run till about noon, but there will be breakfast (pan dulce and fruit) starting before 10. Everyone who considers themselves youth is welcome! And lastly, we are planning another action for next Wednesday, December 9th to coincide with Obama's attendance at the climate conference in Copenhagen.
